December 3, 2004 — Carrier Logistics Inc.,Tarrytown,
N.Y., has launched an LTL web forum for the exchange of ideas, information
and even humor.
The free, proprietary forum may be accessed through the Carrier
Logistics web site at www.carrierlogistics.com. Click on the transport
forum link on the lefthand side of the screen. Carrier Logistics
is a long-time provider of computers and software, primarily to
the LTL sector.
The web forum for transportation professionals enables the exchange
of ideas, opinions and information about such issues as the cost
of diesel fuel, driver safety, traffic congestion, hours of service,
capacity constraints in the LTL industry and computer systems.
"We expect the forum to become a valuable meeting and exchange
site on the Internet," said Ken Weinberg, Carrier Logistics
vice president. "We see it as a place where people in the trucking
industry can go to their own community for answers, guidance and
solutions to business challenges."
Registration is fast, simple and free, according to Weinberg. Carrier
Logistics customers will have special access to additional forums
about software enhancements, training information sessions and tips.
Carrier Logistics is donating the necessary storage, software and
employee time to operate the forum, Weinberg said.
