February 16, 2005 — KonaWare,
a provider of logistics and motor freight applications, has announced
that LTL carrier Land Air Express of New England has selected KonaWare's
Mobile T&L Suite product for its 200 - 250 units. Land Air direct
customers include such shippers as L.L. Bean, Yankee Candle, W.W.
Grainger, Rossignal, Country Home Products, and Vermont Country
Store, as well as over sixty commercial carriers.
KonaWare's Mobile T&L Suite allows carriers
to use a Java 2 phone or Hewlett-Packard PocketPC using existing
IT infrastructure.
Land Air's technology involves teamwork by
two major vendors, KonaWare and LTL operational software provider
Carrier Logistics Inc. KonaWare provides mobile capability while
Carrier Logistics focuses on its enterprise solution, including
P&D, route planning, customer service, and administration.
Land Air Express of New England, founded in
Williston, Vt. in 1968, provides direct next day LTL service from
eleven terminals in the Northeast. Full truckload service is available
