March 24, 2006 — LTL system operators from throughout
North America will learn best practices of the CLI FACTS™
system, a freight management system, at the 2006 annual Carrier
Logistics Inc. (CLI) User Group Conference. The conference will
take place April 6-7, at the Crowne Plaza in White Plains, N.Y.
Research shows that most technology users only utilize a fraction
of the product’s features. The same is true of the numerous
functions within the CLI FACTS system. The conference will train
operators to utilize the system to its fullest capacity and, as
a result, save on management costs and streamline business practices.
The conference will offer two concurrent tracks – one on
billing and administration and the other on operations and highway.
The billing and administration sessions will demonstrate how the
FACTS system can improve billing accuracy and increase rating success.
Additional topics such as auditing techniques, EDI transfers and
cash flow procedures will also be examined.
The operations and highway sessions will teach system operators
how to use the system to help with call logging and driver communication,
as well as mapping. Participants will also learn about dispatching
and routing logic, including highway routing and daily reset (automatic
daily updates on shipments and rates).
System users will have the opportunity to ask questions and share
experiences with CLI experts.
In addition to the FACTS system lessons and discussions, conference
attendees will learn more about other CLI modules: Routronicä,
which plans computerized delivery routes before freight arrivals;
FACTSViewä Business Intelligence, which analyses Key Performance
Indicators including terminal performance, customer impact, sales
staff performance and quality of revenue; Dock Management, which
streamlines loading and unloading and assists dock managers in monitoring
work assignments.
FACTS is designed to be a functional and flexible software system
specifically for the transportation industry. The system manages
hundreds of thousands of shipments daily for LTL truckers, package
couriers, and other transportation companies around the world. The
software automates freight operations and back-office financial
functions for users.
CLI has been a leading transportation system and engineering consultant
for more than 30 years. For more information, call (914) 332-0300,
